TONY TRAMMELL

FOUNDER/HEAD INSTRUCTOR

Tony Trammell is the Owner and Head Instructor of Corvo Martial Arts. He is a 2nd Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Allen Mohler and a certified Level 1 Judo Instructor under Justin "JFlo" Flores. In addition to coaching students of all ages and experience levels, Tony provides defensive tactics and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction for law enforcement agencies throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including the Plano, Richardson, Frisco, and McKinney Police Departments. His teaching philosophy centers on building strong fundamentals, technical precision, and confidence in a supportive environment where every student can succeed. Whether your goal is self-defense, competition, fitness, or personal growth, Tony is committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

  • DOMINIC RAMOS

    PROFESSOR

    Dominic Ramos is a Jiu-Jitsu black belt with more than 13 years of training experience. Promoted by Tony Trammell, he brings strong technical skill, competition experience, and a patient teaching style to every class. With accomplishments in both Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling, Dominic helps students of all levels sharpen their skills, build confidence, and continue progressing on the mats.

  • Charles byrd

    Muay Thai & MMA

    Charles Byrd is the Head Striking and MMA Coach at Corvo Martial Arts, where he leads the Muay Thai and mixed martial arts programs. A former professional mixed martial artist and UFC competitor, Charles fought professionally from 2009 to 2020, compiling 10 victories across the welterweight and middleweight divisions. He earned his UFC contract after winning twice on Dana White’s Contender Series and went on to win his UFC debut by first-round submission.

    With a background in wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and professional MMA, Charles brings years of high-level competition and coaching experience to every class. His instruction combines strong striking fundamentals, practical MMA application, cage and wall work, and the discipline required to perform under pressure. Charles is committed to helping students develop confidence, technical skill, and a deeper understanding of striking and mixed martial arts.

  • BRIEN MCKIN

    U.S. ARMY VETERAN & COACH

    Brien is a U.S. Army veteran and Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu whose character is defined by discipline, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. After serving eight years in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Afghanistan, he transitioned into civilian life and began training at Corvo Martial Arts in 2018. Through years of consistent training, perseverance, and dedication, Brien earned his brown belt and has become a respected leader within the Corvo team. Known for his toughness, humility, and willingness to help others improve, he leads by example both on and off the mats, embodying the values that define the Corvo Martial Arts community.

  • JOSH MOSQUEA

    COACH

    Josh is Corvo Martial Arts’ striking coach, with more than 11 years of combat sports experience and a background in amateur and professional MMA. He is also a Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Tony Trammell, giving him a well-rounded approach to both striking and grappling. Josh helps students of all levels improve technique, build fitness, and grow their overall martial arts skill with clear, practical coaching.

  • Lindsay Crosby

    COACH

    Lindsayhas been a part of the Corvo Martial Arts family since 2020, beginning her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey as a white belt. With a background in fitness competitions, she brought a strong work ethic and competitive mindset to the mats, quickly developing into one of Corvo's top competitors. As a blue belt, Lindsay captured both theIBJJF Pan ChampionshipandIBJJF World Championship, establishing herself as one of the elite competitors in her division. Now a purple belt, she continues to train, compete, and inspire others through her dedication, discipline, and relentless pursuit of improvement. Whether coaching beginners or preparing for competition, Lindsay is passionate about helping students build confidence and reach their full potential.

  • STEPHEN SHNAYDERMAN

    COACH

    Stephen Shnayderman is a Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under Tony Trammell with years of competition and coaching experience. He is especially passionate about teaching Little Crows and kids classes, where he helps young students build strong fundamentals, confidence, and discipline in a fun, structured environment. Stephen also leads his own program, Little Grapplers, and brings a strong commitment to youth development and martial arts education to the Corvo team.

  • SUSAN PHAM

    Operations Manager / Team Mom

    Susan helps keep Corvo Martial Arts running smoothly with a strong background in IT management, customer relations, process automation, and software development. A U.S. Army Veteran, she brings discipline, organization, and care to everything from membership management and class logistics to social media and day-to-day operations. More than anything, Susan helps make Corvo a welcoming, supportive place where students feel like part of the family.
